Multicultural Plan 2023-2025
Highlighting the importance of cultural competence and celebrating diversity
The Multicultural Plan was developed based on community and staff feedback and aims to tailor services for multicultural communities, enhance staff workplace experiences and opportunities, and promote social and economic participation. It highlights the importance of cultural competence and celebrates diversity within the NSW Department of Customer Service’s workforce.
Achievements
The plan aims to deliver on the policy objectives of the Multicultural Policies and Services Program (MPSP) so that people from culturally diverse communities can achieve high degrees of social and economic participation.
By amplifying the voices of culturally and linguistically diverse staff and embracing inclusivity and diversity, the NSW Government will fulfill the objectives of the Multicultural Plan and set a precedent for a more inclusive NSW.
Engagement
The plan was developed based on community and staff feedback including individuals within the Department of Customer Service who provided their experiences and input during consultation and members of the Department of Customer Service Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Employee Resource Group (CALD ERG).
