Licence NSW

Licence NSW is part of the eRegulation strategy.

Licence NSW is making it easier to apply, renew and use licences in NSW. This digital platform will make it easy for regulators to manage licences (including registering and permitting) in an ever-changing regulatory environment.  

As a State Digital Asset (SDA), Licence NSW is available for use by multiple NSW government agencies, and serves as one of our building blocks for NSW to provide proactive, customised, and seamless services to our customers. 

eRegulation delivers two interconnected platforms for government: Licence NSW and Regulation NSW.

How it works

Licence NSW improves the customer experience in standardising licensing processes across regulatory agencies. It is the preferred end-to-end digital licensing platform that enables full licence lifecycle management including workflow and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) functions.

The platform enables third party integrations (APIs) which save time and create a more secure system using digital validations to deliver streamlined processing.

APIs such as the TAFE API validate qualifications in real time and relieve customers from the need to upload documents. Automatic verification is possible from proof of identity using MyService NSW Account.

Integrations with state and federal services (for example, My ServiceNSW Account, the Australian Securities and Investment Commission and Australian Financial Security Authority) have also been created to support digital verification of information, pre-filling of forms and improving accuracy of data transfer to regulators. 

Licence NSW and Regulation NSW platforms utilise the same enterprise solution, and when used together support experiences across the full regulatory landscape.
