Who we are
Government Technology Platforms (“GTP”) are part of Digital NSW, a division in the NSW Government Department of Customer Service (“DCS”).
In this Privacy Statement, when we use 'we', 'us' or 'our', we are referring to GTP. When we use “you” or “your” we are referring to the reader as an individual.
Partner Agencies
GTP act as a service provider to build and maintain digital solutions for Government “Partner Agencies” serving the people and businesses of NSW. We assist Partner Agencies with their operations by providing digital platforms, products and services that can include storing data on their behalf as a “data steward”.

Our “Partner Agencies” are any Commonwealth, state, or local government agency that we maintain digital solutions for.

A Privacy Statement is a summary of an NSW Government agency’s privacy policies.
This Privacy Statement provides an overview of our privacy policies and how we handle your personal information in line with our obligations under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 and Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.

Privacy Collection Notices
A Privacy Collection Notice is a notice that is provided to an individual when an NSW Government agency collects personal information from them. It explains why the information is being collected and how the agency will use and handle the information.
When you interact with our Partner Agencies
When you interact with digital services that we maintain for our Partner Agencies, the Partner Agency is the agency that is collecting your personal information and they are responsible for providing you with a Privacy Collection Notice.
When you interact with GTP directly
In some circumstances, GTP will be the NSW Government agency who are collecting your personal information. In this case, we will provide you with a Privacy Collection Notice.

The DCS Privacy Management Plan provides more detail on how we meet our privacy obligations and uphold and respect the privacy of our customers, employees and others about whom we hold personal information.

Data Breach Policy
The DCS Data Breach Policy sets out how we respond to and manage eligible data breaches in line with the NSW Mandatory Notification of Data Breaches Scheme (MNDB Scheme).

All public notices of eligible data breaches will be published on the DCS Data Breach Public Notification Register.
