Business Intelligence
Adding intelligence to our data with insights, analytics, and visualisation
We are surrounded by data. There is, often, too much data - much of which does not drive better customer outcomes. The skill, today, is to use data smartly and accurately and that is our focus.
GTP, through the development of whole of government (WofG) platforms has built platforms, products and services that use terabytes of data, daily. We have developed the technical infrastructure and skilled team that facilitates visualisation of agency data within our WofG platforms for quicker understanding, analysis, and consumption.
This improves decision making, leading to better customer outcomes. Outcomes that enable GTP’s partners to deliver digital solutions that make interacting with government secure and safe.

Working with us
Our approach is to work with you to understand your business needs and then provide a solution that meets those needs. We have a proven track record of delivering solutions that are fit for purpose and meet the needs of our partners. We have a team of highly skilled and experienced professionals who are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for our partners.
Discovery
Defining an accurate SoW is critical to getting the outcomes required. This usually includes the facilitation of collecting data from various sources of data and consolidating it into a single source that can be easily and instantly evaluated.
Analysis
Facilitate cleaning, transforming, and modelling data to discover useful information for your business decision-making. The purpose of Data Analysis is to extract useful information from data and taking the decision based upon the data analysis. During implementation, an agency data-base administrator (DBA) is usually required to analyse and extract the agency data. Where this is not possible, GTP can provide DBA resources to conduct this work.
Visualisation
Deliver data shown graphically so that it will be easier for your stakeholders to understand and process it. Data visualisation can be used to discover unknown facts and trends. By observing relationships and comparing datasets, you can find a way to find out meaningful information.
Reporting
Facility to publish a customised dashboard with a few clicks to share it live on the web and on mobile devices
Upcoming changes to GTP BI
Data and the tools used to interrogate it, is constantly changing. As part of our commitment to manage and support the core and common platforms we are currently reviewing with an aim to test and integrate:
- AI: to provide prediction, analysing unstructured data (e.g. photos, social media posts), natural language processing etc.
- DevOps feedback: provide insights to the GTP performance with feedback for continuous improvement.
- Open data: enrich the data set by ingesting open data available eg ABR, ABS etc.
