Hazards Near Me NSW
NSW residents now have access to the latest flood and bushfire warnings and information through a single app - Hazards Near Me NSW.
The NSW Flood Inquiry identified the need for a consolidated approach and single app for hazard warnings. In partnership with NSW RFS and NSW SES, the HazardWatch team have facilitated a single view of both fire and flood information and warnings to ensure people have the latest information to make informed decisions and stay safe during an emergency event. Over time, the app will be expanded to show other NSW hazards and features.
The HazardWatch web-based application developed and released in 2022, will still be available on the NSW SES website communicating flood information and warnings. Existing users of the Fires Near Me NSW app need to update to the Hazards Near Me NSW app through their app store. New users will be able to set their watch zones to ensure they receive latest localised hazard warnings.
