buy.nsw — Australia’s first government marketplace for cloud is now open
Today we’re excited to share with you a new procurement platform, buy.nsw, which offers a space for buyers and sellers of cloud products and services to connect and do business. What’s more, over time buy.nsw will grow to include more procurement pathways for ICT and non-ICT products and services.
We’re open for buyers to join
It’s important to note that buy.nsw is for buyers from NSW Government — and the broader NSW community. There are around 4500 community groups and educational organisations that have registered as buyers through ProcurePoint — all of whom are eligible to sign up to buy.nsw and buy products and services.
By signing up to buy.nsw we’ll have your details so we can keep you updated as new sellers, products and services arrive.
We’re open for sellers to onboard
We invite all sellers of cloud products and services to join buy.nsw now, whether you’ve worked with NSW Government before or not.
We’ve also sent invites to around 160 members of the ICT Services Scheme that offer relevant cloud products and services so they can begin onboarding, with much of the data we know about them pre-filled into their seller profiles.
We’re also open to feedback
As an agile program, we’re building buy.nsw with and for our buyers and sellers.
To do this we’re engaging buyers at all levels — CIOs and CPOs across the principal NSW Government departments, plus buyers from smaller agencies, non-government agencies and buyers on the front lines of day to day procurement.
We’re also engaging sellers at all levels, from SMEs to multinationals, to ensure their voices are heard in the evolution of the platform.
So what this means is our project is your opportunity — if you’ve ever had ideas for improving procurement, you can be part of the community that brings about change.
buy.nsw is being delivered by the ICT Procurement Transformation team at the NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation.
