Previously there has been a low awareness of NSW Government rebates and savings. 1 in 3 people in NSW feel overwhelmed by the cost of living. Citizens found it difficult to access the rebates and savings, particularly those that acutely felt the cost of living pressure i.e. families, low income earners, and those over 55 years old.
The Cost of Living Program has accumulated more than 70 NSW Government rebates and savings into one place on the Service NSW website.. Furthermore, Service NSW has one-hour appointment services for those who need help across the state, in more than 60 Service NSW Centres and mobile service centres. There are more than 70 rebates and savings available through this program that includes Active Kids, Energy Switch, Family Energy Rebate and Toll Relief to name a few.
Since its launch, the program has increased awareness of, and accessibility to these rebates and savings. It is exciting to know that more than 40,000 customers have taken an appointment with Service NSW until now, and saved an average of $550 from rebates and savings. This program has helped citizens access $1.6 billion in rebates and savings so far, and has a customer satisfaction rating of 99.75%.
