Digital NSW have completed a State of NSW Legacy Report, which will help address the challenge of ensuring agencies have the right technology to meet their objectives through actionable strategies to enhance security, reduce costs and guide investments to reduce legacy technology.
Achievements
The State of NSW Legacy report has incorporated feedback from extensive consultation with agencies, including a CIO-level workshop to strengthen the recommendations provided in the report.
The final report and the recommendations within, have been approved by agencies through central government leadership governance groups. Collectively, these approvals mark a crucial step towards addressing legacy technology in NSW Government.
The NSW State of Legacy report addresses fundamental questions related to legacy technology. A baseline of legacy technology in NSW is being established, guiding the strategic recommendations to help agencies address the potential challenges of legacy.
Engagement
Multiple rounds of consultations have been completed as part of the report.
In addition, a legacy workshop was hosted with CIO-level representatives from government agencies to answer key questions informing the report. The final report marks a crucial step towards addressing legacy technology in NSW Government.
